Pharmacy Verification Terms

These Pharmacy Verification Terms supplement the Vetrixo Terms of Use. They apply when a pharmacy, pharmacist, supplier or authorised staff member accesses prescription verification or fulfilment functionality. The general Terms continue to apply.

1. Purpose of pharmacy access

Pharmacy access is provided only to support legitimate prescription verification, supply checks and fulfilment recording.

2. No dispensing service by Vetrixo

Vetrixo does not dispense medicines, supply medicines or provide pharmacy services. The supplying pharmacy or supplier remains responsible for all professional, legal and regulatory requirements relating to supply.

3. Verification limits

A Vetrixo verification page may help confirm that a prescription record exists within Vetrixo and may show prescription status, remaining quantity, prescriber details and fulfilment history.

Verification through Vetrixo does not remove the pharmacy or supplier's responsibility to check prescription validity, medicine suitability, legal requirements, controlled drug requirements and professional obligations before supply.

4. Authorised access only

You must only access a Vetrixo prescription where you have a legitimate reason connected to prescription fulfilment or verification.

You must not access prescription pages for curiosity, marketing, data harvesting, profiling or unrelated contact with animal owners.

5. Fulfilment recording

Where Vetrixo allows fulfilment to be recorded, the person recording fulfilment must enter accurate information, including pharmacy or supplier details, responsible person details and quantity supplied.

Partial supply information must be accurate so that remaining quantities are correctly shown.

6. Controlled drugs and special requirements

Where a prescription involves controlled drugs or other medicines with specific legal requirements, the pharmacy or supplier remains responsible for checking and complying with all applicable rules before supply.

7. Data protection

Prescription information accessed through Vetrixo may include personal information. You must handle that information lawfully, securely and only for the purpose for which access was provided.

8. Misuse

Vetrixo may investigate suspected misuse of pharmacy access. Misuse may result in access restrictions, preservation of audit records, notification to the prescribing practice, notification to regulators or other appropriate action.
