Vetrixo is a UK veterinary written prescription management and verification platform. It helps veterinary teams create and issue prescriptions in a structured workflow, while giving dispensing pharmacies a live source record they can use to check prescription details and current status.
Vetrixo was created by Nathan Fordham, a practising UK veterinary surgeon, after seeing how written prescriptions can create unnecessary signing, collection and pharmacy-verification work in everyday practice.
Why Vetrixo exists
Written veterinary prescriptions can still depend on paper documents, manual checks and follow-up between the veterinary practice, client and dispensing pharmacy. A paper or PDF prescription can also be copied or altered, while the document itself does not provide a live view of whether the prescription remains current or whether fulfilment has already been recorded.
Vetrixo connects the issued prescription with a live Vetrixo source record so that the prescription can be managed by the veterinary practice and checked by the dispensing pharmacy against the current record.
What Vetrixo does

Verification, not trust in a QR code
The QR code does not make a prescription secure by itself. It provides a route to the Vetrixo record. The dispensing pharmacy can use that record to compare the prescription it has received with the live source information rather than relying on the paper or PDF alone.
Built for UK veterinary practice
Vetrixo is designed around UK veterinary prescribing workflows, professional accountability and the practical realities of first opinion practice. It is intended to support the people responsible for prescribing and dispensing, not replace their professional judgement or legal responsibilities.
Important limitation
Vetrixo is a prescription management and verification platform. It does not make clinical decisions, prescribe medicines, dispense medicines or determine whether a medicine may lawfully be supplied. The prescribing veterinary surgeon remains responsible for the prescription, and the dispensing pharmacy or supplier remains responsible for the legal and professional checks required before supply.
